Saturday June 31, 22h, REBEL DIAZ from South-Bronx will present the result of their three day long ‘Conscious HipHop Workshop’ supported by local heroes of freestyle at Tacheles, Oranienburgerstr. – Viva Gentrification!

As a performance group, Rebel Diaz came together in early 2006 when they were invited to perform their revolutionary music at the historic immigrant rights march in New York City, in front of 500,000 people. This opportunity to speak to the masses began as a direct extension of their political work in the South Bronx, where they currently organize around immigration, education and housing issues. from their mixtape ‘Otre Guerillero’

This is Lethal Bizzle’s latest oeuvre – a cover of the Clash-classic ‘Police on my back’. The track made it onto Radio 1’s B-list and is set to blow up. Check out the Guardian-article for more info.

I should be editing right now, instead of reading along blogs and watch flics for inspiration. But I tumbled over this Dizzee freestyle! F***, I cant stop rewinding it (#9 now!), recorded on Westwoods Radio 1 show. Diz murks it! Now, come and tell me again, he’s been a pussy. Haha. Go, tell your polish aunty. Because, just as Hattie says, “The flow, the way he switches from subject to subject, the lyricism, the breath control is truly flawless.”

Only, I wasnt able to find out, if this was recorded recently. Anybody knows?
